The impeller in a centrifugal pump is the component that converts the mechanical energy from the input shaft into hydraulic energy from the pump suction to discharge nozzles. As such, it bears the brunt of wear from mechanical stress, corrosion, erosion and cavitation damage. It is important for a pump repair technician to be able to recognize the impeller condition that results from these various wear factors. This webinar will present graphic images of impeller damage and discuss the forces at work that cause the damage.

Target audience: This webinar benefits service center technicians and supervisors.
